Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Senai Wonderufael, 27, is a graduate of business administration and had worked for Ethiopian Airlines for four years before he embarked on making his dream of “having my own company” a reality, which he established in the summer of 2012 but only could start in Jan. the following year.

His company Feed Green Ethiopia Exports plc (FGE) exports popular Ethiopian spice blends such as Shiro, Mitmita, Korarima and Berbere. FGE started with $15, 000 but in just one year, “we brought more than $100, 000” into the country. Originally Senai’s plan was to meet the demands of Diaspora Ethiopians in the US and Europe, but he soon began exporting to new markets in Africa. Now, he seem unstoppable.

FGE employs mainly single mothers, young men and women from poor background and does a number of charitable works already.

“Aliko Dangote, Tony Elumelu, Chris Kirubi and Patrice Motsepe may call the shots today, but these ones will take center stage tomorrow”, says Forbes, “meet the 30 prodigies transforming Africa as we speak.”
