Maid ends life just before leaving Saudi

An Ethiopian housemaid committed a suicide by hanging herself at her employer’s house in Saudi Arabia just before she was to return to her home country.
Her Saudi employer said he found the maid hanging in her bedroom at his house in the southern town of Khamis Mushait and reported the incident to the police.
“She had worked for us for nearly two years and had not suffered from any problems,†he said, quoted by the Arabic language daily Okaz.
“I had just canceled her visa and given her all dues at her request. I am really very surprised at what she had done.â€
